Based in Ontario, Canada, Lights and Love Press grew as an idea in the dark from our lead author, Maria Adnan.

In the throes of motherhood and postpartum, Maria found herself trying to come to terms with her changing world. From being an avid reader herself, somewhere along the way the books she once read for her own pleasure got replaced by diaper changes, baby-led weaning and the trials of toddler tantrums.

But reading to her little one was a different story. What began as a single book in a recliner under a nightlight with her 6 month old, grew into reading three books a night for her 3-year old (on demand), and somewhere in those pages, books brought back the calmness and joy she hadn't realised she'd lost.

And that's where the wheels started turning. To build her own brand of books, ones that are faith-driven, and ones that simply spark joy.
